Hey, I have a blog!
Yes, I do remember that I have a blog, and to answer those of you who have mentioned it to me, yes I do know that it's been a long time since I posted anything. Of course, I answered you all at the time that you made those comments, but I thought I'd answer you here too as an excuse to highlight the fact that I do actually have more than two readers, and that more than one person has actually noticed my blogging absence. The fact that I think I know all of my readers is beside the point. On the other hand, I do, apparently, get quite a lot of traffic from around the world, although whether they stay long enough to read anything is questionable. Digression finished.
With my love of coffee shops, what better way to mark my return to blogging than to highlight another coffee shop? That'll be coming up shortly, so keep an eye on your RSS reader.
Speaking of RSS, would you do me a favor? Please make a comment on this post and let me know where you stand with RSS. Have you ever heard of it? Do you know what it is? Do you use it all the time? Do you wonder how you ever used the Internet without RSS? Your feedback will help me make a decision about a new project I'm considering. Thanks!

Ahh, RSS. I know it, I've used it, and I still do on occasion.
I've learned to avoid it, though, as it tends to get out of control. You find a nice site, add it's feed, and before you know it you have several hundred piled up waiting on you to read them...
If I could, I would get everything over RSS. I much prefer to have new information come to me rather than going to the website in question to check.
I keep my most-visited sites in my RSS reader (Vienna, currently) to make sure I don't miss anything. That said, I kinda prefer to visit the sites themselves to read articles, as it's more akin to visiting someone, than sending them an email. It's more personal, in a completely impersonal way.
Safari's open-in-tabs feature gets used every day, as I have groups of sites organized by topic or type. Vienna gets used maybe once or twice a week, just to make sure I didn't miss anything (especially sites that are updated irregularly, and so not on my day-to-day list), keep an eye on my own website feeds, and to keep up with websites that I don't really care about as much (in which case the glut of 100-200 articles doesn't bother me, so I can just delete them all!).
Do post about this upcoming project... :D My interest has been piqued!
